Bloodstock Festival Countdown : 24 Bands Not To Miss

It is Bloodstock time. It is here. Let’s have it. So hopefully this will reach you as you either set up camp or consume the last of your alcohol awaiting being let into the arena. So we folks from ROCKFLESH will be there. Our photos are on the site if you want to be sure who to avoid. But if you do like a chin wag or want to berate Stewart for continually being nasty to Def Leppard then please come and see us. And all we are saying is keep your eyes out for the Top Gun pilots…. Anyway here is our final pick of who to see.

1. Lamb of God – Ronnie James Dio Stage, Friday night headliners

Lamb of God personify the grit and determination of metal like no other band. Whilst Nu-metal was ruling the waves the first time out, they emerged (initially as Burn the Priest) in a flurry of riffs and attitude. As we pushed forward into the new millennium, they fronted up a new wave of American Heavy Metal that abandoned nu-metal’s genre splicing in favour of crunching guitar and guttural vocals. From that point forward, they have ruled the roost when it comes to slamming tunes and incendiary performances. Lamb of God are now legends in their own lunchtime, and this is the third time they have thrown down at Bloodstock. They are coming on the back of a career defining album so expect plenty of cuts from “Into Oblivion” alongside the old favourites. Basically this will be moment as Lamb of God are one of modern metal’s defining bands. Enjoy and see you there.
