The only disappointment about this year’s Bloodstock offering in a veritable sea of goodness, is the lack of any real discernible power metal. All for Metal aside, the trad trappings of these long-standing Canadians are as good as we are going to get. This will be 3 Inches of Blood’s first UK show since their much-heralded return from hibernation in 2023, and it is made even more fitting by the fact that the last time they played the UK (in 2013) was also on the hallowed grounds of Catton Hall. So get ready for metal at its bombastic best. Tales of heraldry and swords held aloft. This is mindless escapism and its glorious in fantastical splendour. It's so good to have them back.
