Bloodstock Festival Countdown : 30 Bands Not To Miss
6. Kataklysm - Sophie Lancaster Stage, Friday straight after Trivium
Kataklysm are death metal’s forgotten pioneers. Whilst they are not spoken about the same level of awe as death metal's founding fathers, there are still an incredibly influential outfit. They have been doing what they do since 1991 and any band that gets technical and intricate with death metal owes them a debt of gratitude. Like yesterday’s entry, 3 Inches Of Blood, this is their first Bloodstock in twelve years (though they have been here after that in their roman obsessed incarnation of Ex Deo). It is also their first appearance outside of London in almost ten years, so expect late night Friday to be pretty special indeed. See you in the tent.
