Bloodstock Festival Countdown : 30 Bands Not To Miss
16. Paleface Swiss - Ronnie James Dio Stage - Friday, early Afternoon
Do you want to know the true reason as to why the tickets for this year's Bloodstock have flown out like hot cakes laced with LSD? Most will reason it is the unholy trinity of Trivium, Machine Head, and Gojira, but here at ROCKFLESH Towers we have another theory. You see we think it is the undercard that has caught the public’s imagination and most importantly the inclusion of Paleface Swiss and Kublai Khan. Metal is changing, contorting and evolving. These are its new champions. These are the bands the youngsters are taking to heart, and the fact that Bloodstock has leapt aboard the zeitgeist makes it the place to be. Paleface Swiss are moving forward by looking backward; they have grabbed hold of what made Slipknot so enticing all those years ago and they have bottled it. This is metal that speaks to the disenfranchised and the unloved. This is a call to arms for those who don’t feel like they fit in society's norms. Metal’s rejuvenates itself because it manages to find fresh disciples in each generation. This is this generation’s torchbearers. You’ve been warned.
