Bloodstock Festival Countdown : 24 Bands Not To Miss

It's now so near that you can smell it. After this weekend you have only two more to get through before it is our beloved Bloodstock. So our unconventional conventionalists, it is time to regale you with another of ROCKFLESH’s bands you need to see. If anyone now deserves the slot at this year's festival it is this lot:

20. Bleed From within - Ronnie James Dio Stage just before 19:00.

As Bon Scott once warbled “it's a long way to the top if you want to rock 'n' roll”. Bleed From Within special guest status at this year's Bloodstock is a fairytale 21 years in the making. For two decades they have slowly but surely made their way up the greasy pole of popularity. Around 2013 when they released their remarkably erudite third album “Uprising” it looked like they were about to explode onto the scene. However life and lineup changes got in the way and by the time they got round to releasing a fourth album in 2018 most of the momentum that they had created had ebbed away. But Bleed From Within are grafters. They got back on the road, put shoulders against the grindstone and went back to building their fanbase. Their ascension since then has been a story of gradual wins as opposed to a miraculous resurrection. Covid album “Fracture” further honed their sound and the subsequent “Shrine” in 2022 and last year’s “Zenith” further armed them with bangers. By way of stealth and continuous hard work they now find themselves at the vanguard of current British heavy metal. The special guest slot is just a recognition of their survival, it is a well-deserved commendation of their current status. Without making a fuss they now have a rabid following and they will prove why they deserve to be last one before Saturday night’s headliners.
