Bloodstock Festival Countdown : 24 Bands Not To Miss

Here we go, here we go! ROCKFLESH now traditional and always relevant treaty of the bands you have to see at this year’s Bloodstock Festival. These are the ones you need to bang straight down the front for and not back at your tent sculling large lagers. This year, we have 24 nuggets of metal goodness for you. 24 glorious acts that back at ROCKFLESH Towers make the hairs on our collective necks rise in unison. So let’s start with our first piece of heavy hysteria.

24. Gurt – Sophie Lancaster Stage, 10:30 Friday morning

Gurt are living legends. They are a debauched cottage industry dedicated to the altar of party sludge. They are DIY aesthetics incarnate. All their merch is home-produced, designed and made. Every Gurt shirt you see being paraded around the site resplendent on someone’s chest has been lovely created and curated by the band (and probably mailed out by them too). Gurt keep it real in the name of slow putride riffs and down tempo sexy doom. This is music that moves you, slowly, but it moves you. So what better way to remove your first hangover of the weekend with the most fun you can with a Gurt shirt on.
