54. Of Feather And Bone - 'Sulfuric Disintegration'

I’m about halfway through this and I am pretty certain I have overused my life allocation of the word melodic. There is a lot of melody in the list, a surprising amount for something that is, in the main, grounded in Heavy Metal. However (and you knew that there was a however coming) there is nothing melodic about “Sulfuric Disintegration”. This is a harsh, penetrating and unstoppable slice of Death Metal. It is jagged, abrasive and fast as fuck.

But the energy, oh my god the energy! What I particularly love about uncompromising Death Metal is its dynamism and vitality. It invigorates me and makes me feel glad to be alive. “Sulfuric Disintegration” is one of those records. I felt swept away by its aggression and its momentum. It is a shot of pure unadulterated adrenaline with pulsating guitars and precising drums. Short, nasty, nihilistic and, most of all, bloody good.
