Europe are a Swedish heavy metal band from Upplands Väsby, Stockholm, consisting of frontman Joey Tempest, guitarist John Norum, bassist John Levén, keyboard-player Mic Michaeli, and drummer Ian Haugland.
Formed in 1979, as Force, the band would only earn their first deal after Tempest’s girlfriend encouraged them to enter a 4000-strong battle of the bands, which they won. They released their debut self-titled album in 1983, and have since released nine more albums, including 2015's ‘War of Kings’. Best known for tracks like The Final Countdown, Superstitious, Rock the Night, and Carrie, Europe have sold over 20 million records worldwide.
An epic live act, Europe have performed on some of the biggest stages and at some of the biggest festivals the world has to offer. They toured the UK alongside Black Star Riders in March 2015.
Europe returned with brand new album, 'Walk The Earth', in October 2017. You can catch them supporting it on tour in Europe in 2017, or in Australia (for the first time ever!) in May 2018. They've recently announced UK dates too for September 2018. This isn't one to miss - ensure to catch them live by checking out the tour dates.
