Download @ Donington Park

  • Donington Park Derby DE74 2RP UK (map)

Download 2024 is go! Following in the footsteps of other European festivals like Rock AM Ring and Nova Rock over the last week or so, the Download Festival team have unleashed the bulk of the 2024 Line up in one huge announcement.

For the first time since 2012, the Download Festival has two new headliners in the same year.

Queens Of The Stone Age have the honour of being opening night Friday headliners, while fresh from their massive UK tour, Fall Out Boy will top things off on Saturday night. Filling the role of Download elder statesmen on their third headlining appearance this year will be Avenged Sevenfold – we can certainly think of worse ways to close the Donington party than with A Little Piece Of Heaven!

The bumper announcement contains loads of big hitters. Royal Blood make their Download Festival debut, as do the reunited / reformed Pantera. Machine Head return to Donington for the first time since 2012. There’s punk rock and pop punk aplenty in the shape of The Offspring, Billy Talent and our pals Bowling For Soup! Their peers Sum 41 make their last UK festival appearance before their retirement in a huge exclusive for the 2024 Download Festival.

While She Sleeps will hopefully bring their arena level production of their recent tour to Donington as they move up the bill for their biggest Download slot of their career so far. The Fox God cometh once again as Babymetal return to Download Festival. Corey Taylor returns to Donington in solo mode, alongside other acts like The Used, Biohazard, Thy Art Is Murder and The Black Dahlia Murder (in the UK for the first time since the passing of Trevor Strnad). Heilung bring their unique dark folk sounds to Download for the first time, with Bad Omens also making their Donington debut.

Several more of Rock Sins favourites are also on the bill. Holding Absence return after their triumphant 2022 set. Likewise Bleed From Within, who will level whatever stage they’re put on. Fellow UK metallers URNE make their first appearance at Download, while the ever expanding boundaries of hardcore are well represented by the likes of Scowl, Make Them Suffer, Zulu and Counterparts. ERRA, Imminence, Alien Weaponry and Heriot will all hold up the metal end of Download Festival 2024 in their own unique ways, while expect a huge rendition of 00’s favourite The Reason wherever Hoobastank end up playing – doubly so given they’re playing the entire album in full!

Download Festival 2024 (presented by their first ever headline partner, Liquid Death) takes place from the 14th to the 16th of June 2024 at the UK’s spiritual home of rock and metal – Donington Park (campsite open from the 12th to the 17th of June).

Tickets for Download Festival 2024 are available on Barclaycard pre-sale from 9pm on Tuesday 7th of November. The festival official pre-sale will begin Wednesday 8th of November, while the general sale for tickets will be on Thursday 9th of November (on this link).
