DAWN RAY'D

Few black metal bands in the UK are as ferocious and urgent as Liverpool based trio DAWN RAY'D. From commanding screams to blistering tremolo riffs laced with folksy violin playing, Dawn Ray'd find the beauty in savagery, perfectly tying the threads between black metal and folk music traditions. The trio's strict anti-fascist and anarchist ethos only makes them more of a compelling force. Dawn Ray'd's sophomore masterwork Behold Sedition Plainsong was released through Prosthetic Records, with their latest single Wild Fire - which premiered live at Roadburn Redux Festival back in April - binding their influences together even closer.

"In sound and fury, Dawn Ray'd simultaneously exemplify and challenge black metal rebellion." ~ Kerrang!

AGVIRRE

Manchester's own post-everything newcomers AGVIRRE tie together multiple genre influences from black metal to shoegaze and post-rock to ambient across lengthy progressive songs that unfold like short films. Their performances are atmospheric, cinematic and very intense. Agvirre embody the sound of anxiety through lyrics boldly detailing the struggles of living with mental illness and the search for hope and catharsis. Their debut EP Silence was co-released through Surviving Sounds and Trepanation Recordings with their string laden new single The Letting Go finding a meeting point between grunge, noise rock and black metal.

"The whirlpool of rage and confusion amply mirrors the sense of inner torment and isolation that mental illness is associated with." ~ The Wire

Underdark

After releasing only a handful of sold out singles over the years, Nottingham based quintet UNDERDARK have earned themselves a strong reputation, conquering stages and festivals all over the UK and touring Europe with their dreamy yet biting combination of black metal, post-rock and screamo.

Underdark's new vocalist Abi Vasquez has transformed the quintet further with much more personal lyrics, allowing them to make their darkest and most challenging recordings to date. Always ones to unflinchingly fight for injustice and progressive social causes, hearing songs from their highly anticipated debut album will be an experience not to be missed.

Our Bodies Burned Bright On Re-Entry will be released worldwide on July 30th through Surviving Sounds (UK), Through Love (EU) and Tridroid Records (US).

"Wickedly melodic, eerily atmospheric black metal that chills to the core and cultivates an air of danger in its merciless battery." ~ Metal Hammer
