Bury Tomorrow have announced their only UK dates of 2019, kicking off in Portsmouth on 13 December 2019.
The tour will then see them take to Nottingham, Cardiff, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Manchester, before ending at London’s Roundhouse on 21 December 2019.
The dates come in support of last year’s Black Flame, the band’s fifth album.
“Here we go again,” says guitarist and vocalist Jason Cameron. “Following the best year of our lives, we’re back to take Black Flame to the next level. We’ll be playing the biggest set list we’ve ever done, performing songs you’ve never heard live, plus old favourites too. We’ll also be bringing full production for the first time, which we’re so excited about! It goes without saying that these shows will be special and a huge celebration for us all, see you in December!”
Originally from Southampton, Hampshire, the quintet have become one of the UK’s most successful heavy exports and have performed on the main stages at probably every major European festival you can think of.
Formed in 2006, the band released their first album Portraits in the UK in October 2009 through Basick Records. They defined themselves as a British metalcore band. It was then released in the USA and Japan through Artery Records in March 2010, gaining them a bigger following which led to the band being asked to support contemporaries such as Of Mice and Men, Asking Alexandria and Sleeping With Sirens on tour.
In 2012, Bury Tomorrow were signed to a new record label, Nuclear Blast, and through them, released their second album, The Union of Crowns, which peaked at No.3 on the UK Indie Breakers Chart and No.6 on the UK Rock & Metal Album Chart.
The band’s third album, Runes, became their highest charting album, reaching No. 1 on the official UK Rock chart, and breaking into the Top 40 at No.34 in the Official Album chart.
Whilst performing at Slam Dunk North in 2015, the metalcore band revealed that they had finished recording their fourth studio album. In November that year, they released the new video for their new song, Earthbound. The album, also called Earthbound, was released in January 2016 and went in at No.36 on the UK Album Charts.
At the end of last year, Bury Tomorrow parted ways with Nuclear Blast, and signed with Sony Music’s legendary Music For Nations label.
